Contract Planning

Planwest has been retained by several communities to serve as their planning staff with responsibilities that include oversight and coordination of major projects. More and more, agencies that had maintained planners on staff, or are too small to keep full time staff, are contracting with consulting planners to handle planning application caseloads and duties. This outsourcing includes traditionally in-house duties such as current planning and planning commission hearing support.

We provide Cities and other local agencies with services that include conducting initial reviews for application completeness, informing applicants of regulatory and processing requirements, coordinating application review with lead and responsible agencies, conducting environmental reviews, preparing required findings and staff reports, and providing support to appointed and elected officials at hearings.
