Planwest assists agencies, communities and property owners in navigating the community planning process, by defining a clear set of procedural steps, and by providing thorough research, technical assistance and policy formulation services.

We specialize in the preparation of clear, concise planning documents that address specific goals, express community values, and guide future decision-making.

Planwest serves a diverse clientele, and we offer a broad range of planning expertise. As the prime consultant assisting communities with their General Plans, we construct essential elements, coordinate all work products and manage the entire process. We also create special purpose plans, such as redevelopment programs and coastal plans. And we often assist with the implementation components of community plans, which typically combine design, regulatory and management practices, such as zoning and subdivision regulations, creation of special districts, and CIP strategies.

Planwest is currently retained by several communities, serving as their designated planning functionaries, with responsibilities that include administration of the entitlement regulations.
